NetBet obtained first temporary online gaming license in Romania

We are glad to announce that Gaming Consulting  together with Bota & Partners lawfirm secured first temporary remote gaming license in Romania.  Below you will find the official press release of the company.

Beginning today, NetBet will be able to offer its services in Romania and customers will be able to play safe and enjoy on

NetBet restarted the activity in Romania, after almost one year since it discontinued its services offered to players in the market, because of the new regulations and after paying in advance all penalty taxes, licensing taxes, authorization taxes and guarantees to the Romanian Government.

NetBet added Romania to a list of other six jurisdictions under which we operate as a fully licensed operator: Malta, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy and United Kingdom. Our company believes in the potential of the Romanian market and this is why we invested so much in a local license. We trust that Romania is a good environment for our company, as we have over 250 employees in our software development and marketing group companies located in Timisoara that we will expand as our business grows.

After decision no. 927/24.06.2015 and Annex received on 30.06.2015, both issued by the Supervising Committee of the NGO (ONJN), NetBet received the temporary right to operate from 01.07.2015 until 31.12.2015, time during which we will carefully prepare our final application form to obtain the 10 years permanent license.

Regulated markets across Europe will always be the main target of NetBet as these markets provide safety and peace of mind for the players, predictability and a solid environment for operators while the regulator can collect the much-needed revenues from taxing these activities.
